Australia See and get a taste of Australia Friday, May 15 through Saturday, May 16, coordinated by Tourism Australia. From wine tasting and cheese making to the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef, the shores of Kangaroo Island, and the doors of MONA, it will be an immersive celebration of Down Under.

These live virtual Australia travel experiences begin at 5 pm EST on May 15, and the schedule of events can be accessed by clicking here.

Called Live from Aus, this 24 hours of inspiration, education and entertainment will feature new content debuting each hour. It will offer highlights of what you can weave into your future incentive events in this mesmerizing country, including its unique culture, natural beauty, world-class food and drink, exceptional wildlife, and the Australian personality.

Tourism Australia Managing Director, Phillipa Harrison said the broadcast and digital activation hopes to keep event planners inspired and engaged for when it’s safe to send groups to Australia again.

“Even though demand for travel is currently on hold and the timing of the recovery is still uncertain, it’s important that we continue to engage with business event planners around the globe,” said Harrison. “Our goal is keeping Australia front of mind for event planners by using this enforced period of self-isolation to engage with people in their living rooms, feed their escapism, and inspire them to plan for travel again once the restrictions start to lift.”

The Live From Aus program will be hosted by an array of local personalities, advocates and industry operators who will present a range of interactive experiences, including cooking demonstrations, wine tastings, exercise classes, cultural immersion sessions, wildlife encounters, and a live music program presented by Sounds Australia.
