Meeting planners looking for more adults-only options for groups in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic will appreciate that the Melia Caribe Tropical is undergoing a transformation into two distinct properties that caters to just that.

At the end of this year, the previous property will be split into the 609-room Melia Caribe Beach, a resort that accommodates everyone and offers family-friendly amenities, and the 538-room Melia Punta Cana Beach, which will be only available to adults. The latter will be a perfect option for groups looking for more privacy and adult-focused amenities. For instance, 136 of the property’s suites will offer The Level amenities, giving attendees access to the VIP lounge, an exclusive pool and assistance from The Level Concierge in making priority reservations at restaurants, the spa and for golf outings.

Better yet, the adults-only property will feature five restaurant concepts, including a sophisticated Mediterranean dining experience at Mosaico as well as dim sum, sushi and Vietnamese at Muoi. There’s also an Italian restaurant, Casa Nostra, and more casual dining options at Rumba and Replay. Of course, any attendees staying at Melia Punta Cana Beach will also be able to dine at the eight other restaurants at Melia Caribe Beach Resort.

The transformation will coincide with the debut of Melia’s all-new The Grand Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real, which is also scheduled for completion in December. The 288-suite property will follow the trend of offering more exclusivity than the neighboring Paradisus Palma Real and The Reserve properties.
