In honor of its 10-year anniversary later this year, the SLS Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, in Los Angeles’ uber-swanky Beverly Hills neighborhood recently completed a $22 million makeover.

Its new look includes a redesign of all 234 guest rooms and 63 suites that still features the whimsical elegance for which the property is known. Oversized mirror panels and abstract prints mix with white oak, Carrara marble and neutral fabrics to bring a sense of playfulness into the rooms. Some of the furnishings even feature handmade needlepoint pillows, designed to look like classic Picasso prints. Even the lighting in the hallways that lead attendees to the guest rooms is special, lit up with custom-made light boxes.

For top execs, the hotel added two new suite categories—the Style Suite and the Storyseeker Suite—which both include a private bedroom and living area.

“The next chapter of SLS Beverly Hills reflects the hotel’s unique location at the crossroads of Los Angeles and Beverly Hills: the epicenter of modern luxury, the entertainment industry and Southern California’s relaxed-yet-effervescent personality,” says the property’s General Manager Christophe Thomas. “Coupled with our immersive guest programming and destination-worthy fine dining, we’re excited to provide visitors with the quintessential L.A. experience and accommodations that foster comfort and relaxation, while inspiring adventure and creativity.”

Groups will appreciate the refreshed Garden Terrace events space (in addition to the property’s more than 30,000 sf of meeting and event space). But even more, attendees will want to check out the new guest programming that incorporates the local SoCal experience. Destination Discoveries is a bi-weekly tour that attendees can take to get a brief history of the hotel before exploring a bit of the West 3rd Street neighborhood’s art galleries and artisanal shops by foot.

The property also now offers a daily toasting ritual, dubbed the SLS Salute, at Altitude Pool where attendees will get to choose from a wellness shot for a bartender’s shot. Lastly, it also offers a weekly intro into The Bazaar’s signature mixology program that includes a centuries-old recipe created by none other than Benjamin Franklin.
