The hospitality industry is always thinking up new ways to impress meeting attendees.

Whether you’re looking for a certain smell, the latest F&B fad or a new technology, here are three hotel amenities that planners and their attendees didn’t even know they needed.

Scent Concierge

The 236-room Hotel Spero in San Francisco launched its Five Senses Service program last spring, and as of last month, a scent concierge was brought into the mix. The personalized service includes choosing a specific scent for your hotel room and is offered to all attendees staying at the hotel. The scents to choose from? Agave, white tea and thyme, white tea and fig or golden bamboo.

DIY Mixology

The 221-room Godfrey Hotel Chicago has long been known as a lifestyle property, and now it’s adding another unique perk: a DIY Mixology amenity. Offered as part of the in-room dining menu, attendees can opt to be their own bartender and shake up either the Chef’s Margarita or the Cold Brew Manhattan, two signature drinks served at the hotel’s rooftop bar. Each drink comes with labeled ingredients, barware and a recipe to concoct the beverage, making it an easy way to have a nightcap at the end of a long day of meetings.

Robot Butler

With each new piece of AI comes a whole new set of things that technology can do for attendees. The latest robot butlers to grace the hospitality industry will be the two at Downtown Miami YOTEL Hotel and one for the residents of the mixed-use development (the country’s first robot for condo residents). These robots will be able to talk, sing and interact  with attendees as well as make deliveries any time of day or night as soon as the properties from YOTELPAD Miami open in 2020.
