Event planning ranks as one of the most stressful jobs in the world, according to CareerCast, an online career site that uses an 11-point stress test that includes categories like travel, working in the public eye, meeting the public, and deadlines. Easy to see why event and meeting planning repeatedly makes the list.

If anyone understands the stressors event coordinators, as well as meeting professionals, must contend with, it is Prevue that is doing its part to ease that stress by partnering with exhale spas, the wellness brand best known for its boutique fitness classes and spa therapies. Three massage gift certificates were raffled off each day of IMEX, and the winners were Brittany Reed, CMP, event planner, marketing, Yardi; Anita Giacone, CTSM, project and account management, Tradeshows, Meetings, Events, Educational Programs; and Kim Smith, CMP, senior global event manager, Saviynt.

Reed is looking forward to using her gift card in October. “I was so happy to hear I won a free massage through the Prevue raffle at IMEX. Our weeklong annual conference is next month, and it will be such a treat to decompress after the show,” says Reed.

Smith may have had beginner’s luck. “This was my first IMEX, and it was such an awesome experience. After going non-stop for three days straight, all I could think about was how wonderful a massage would be when I got home. I was thrilled and completely surprised when Prevue reached out and said I won an exhale gift card. Dreams do come true,” she enthuses.

Anita Giacone was a winner twice over. She was attending IMEX thanks to an MPI Foundation scholarship. “I entered the raffle at the Prevue booth saying that I was sending out karma to the planner who needed the massage the most to win. I was dumbfounded to hear I was the winner. I guess I really need a massage,” she remarks.

In addition to operating standalone spas throughout the U.S. and Caribbean, exhale has become a familiar brand inside hotels such as the Fairmont Miramar Hotel and Bungalows in Santa Monica, CA; Hamilton Princess & Beach Club in Bermuda; the Gansevoort properties in New York; Battery Wharf Hotel Boston Waterfront; Loews Hotels in Atlanta and South Beach, FL; and The Ritz-Carlton and Kimpton EPIC Hotel in Miami. exhale also recently partnered with Lindblad Expeditions, offering wellbeing cruises. Two years ago, Hyatt bought exhale, which operates as a standalone brand within Hyatt’s wellness category.

“We are excited to partner with Prevue on this giveaway as we know how important mindfulness, transformation, and relaxation is and meeting planning is a profession where it is especially important to set aside time to reset,” explains Julia Sutton, chief operating officer and one of exhale’s four founders.
