New hotel openings and renovations from AMResorts offer exclusive experiences to groups.

“AMResorts Meetings & Incentives offer so much more than the typical all-inclusive experience,” says Kelli Romig, marketing manager of meetings and incentives at AMResorts. “With our trademarked Endless Privileges, Unlimited-Luxury and Unlimited-Fun all-inclusive concepts, our groups receive so much more than the typical resort. Food and beverage and activities and entertainment are taken to a whole new level for group events on property.”

New for 2019

New from AMResorts in late 2019 will be the Now Natura Riviera Cancun resort, which will accommodate groups of all sizes across its 534 rooms. Many of the properties are also undergoing extensive renovations, such as Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay and Secrets St. James Montego Bay, which will receive a refresh of their guest rooms including new furniture, new bathroom sinks, freshly painted walls and installation of bathroom window shutters for additional privacy from the bedroom. Next January, all 412 suites of the Unlimited-Luxury Secrets Maroma Beach resort will receive new interior and terrace furniture, Italian marble whirlpools, deluxe wooden bathroom with privacy shutters and more.

“Attendees are looking for a full destination experience,” says Romig. “Not only do attendees want to get the most out of the features and amenities provided by a high-end luxury resort, but they want to get a taste of the local cuisine and travel into the destination for an immersive experience.”

Custom Events

AMResorts group sales managers can customize events to any group need and budget, and each property has unique areas that allow for distinctive private group events. The Breathless Punta Cana Resort has recently opened the new Silk Convention Center, which features over 11,900 square feet with the ability to accommodate up to 990 attendees for banquets and 1,192 for cocktail receptions. The large Silk Ballroom can also be divided into three spacious breakout rooms. Other unique experiences available at select resorts include an hour-long temazcal ceremony, where participants are guided through a healing ritual that engages all the senses in a traditional shelter filled with hot stones.

“We also give MICE groups a variety of exclusive experiences outside of the traditional ballroom,” says Romig. “At Secrets Cap Cana, groups can take advantage of a marina, fishery, thrilling excursions and a championship golf course. AMResorts offers local markets on property during certain nights of the week within the hotels showcasing local arts and crafts. Through our partners at Amstar, groups can experience excursions in their local areas based on their interest in adventure. Attendees are also looking for ways to give back to local communities through CSR efforts. We offer a variety of different CSR opportunities in AMResorts destinations where groups can give back to the very communities they are staying in.”
