Celebrity TV chef Gordon Ramsay is taking over Las Vegas with three new restaurants, two of which are opening within days of each other this month. All three are located in major group-friendly hotels on the Las Vegas Strip: Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino and Paris Las Vegas. And all three of the British bad boy’s restaurants cater to mid-market budgets with a wide variety of fine-dining comfort food.
“Ramsay might be the only chef ambitious and talented enough to open two restaurants within days of each other without a second thought,” says Jeffrey Frederick, vp of F&B at Planet Hollywood.
GORDON RAMSAY PUB & GRILL
The 290-seat Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill is set to open for dinner at Caesars Palace next week on December 18 and lunch in mid-January. Ramsay, who grew up in Stratford-upon-Avon, England brings his background to the menu with elevated British pub food in a modern cosmopolitan setting.
Traditional dishes like English ale onion soup, hearty shepherd’s pie, bangers & mash, fried egg sandwiches and fish & chips complement 36 beers on tap and 24 bottled brews. The Grill section of the restaurant includes more refined choices like New Zealand red snapper, whole brick-pressed Cornish chicken and a big juicy 30-oz bone-in ribeye for two.
The British vibe infuses the ambience too with fun decor like traditional red telephone booths behind the expansive bar. For semi-private dining, a large patio extends out towards Caesars’ casino floor.
GORDON RAMSAY BURGR
For a good burger, the 200-seat Gordon Ramsay BurGR is opening inside Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on December 22. This is the chef’s first burger restaurant but he’s bringing his typical culinary creativity to the traditional American favorite.
For example, his burger, fries and milkshake are paired with pork belly bao buns and sweet potato fries with vanilla powdered sugar. The burger meat is blended with three prime choices of beef cooked over an open flame.
The open-kitchen layout showcasing the talents of Ramsay’s team as they make their sumptuous creations provides a fun energy for your next groups’s lunch. It’s especially eye opening with the 30-foot flame shoots out over the kitchen. Meanwhile, the bar includes a bunch of cool American craft beers poured from kegs on display.
This past May, the 274-seat Ramsay Steak opened at Paris Las Vegas serving shellfish plates with caviar, clams, lobster and Alaskan King Crab. The steak lovers in your group are gonna love this place. The lineup of steaks include a range of skirt, Kobe and prime filets served with sauteed asparagus and parmesan truffle fingerling potatoes.
For dessert, the highlights include sticky toffee pudding and a lip smacking peach trio with peach ice cream sandwiches, peach pie and peach sorbet.
