Amway Hotel Corporation recently renovated one of its largest meeting spaces, the Ambassador Ballroom, inside the 682-room Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Characterized by its lofty ceilings and distinctive chandeliers, the space combines classic architecture with the latest in tech-savvy LED multicolor lighting, state-of-the-art control systems and audiovisual connection points. The 8,750 sf of space accommodates groups up to 600 for a seated dinner. Planners can also utilize space at its adjacent sister property, the refined 334-room JW Marriott Grand Rapids.
The state’s second largest city provides a small town feel, and the entire community is known to rally behind large conventions. Offering amenities and value that supersede “top-tier” cities, Amway saves groups up to 50% on the average cost for hotel, transportation and F&B combined.
The collection includes 12 restaurants and lounges, with all F&B supervised by locally renowned Executive Chef Josef Huber. We like the sustainable fine dining menu at JW’s signature Six.One.Six. restaurant. Total meeting space within the complex is 240,000 sf.
