As the 273-room Biltmore Hotel Miami gears up to debut its $25 million restoration in December, here are five experiences that groups can look forward to when staying at this national historic landmark in Florida.

Cooking Up a Storm

The property’s onsite Culinary Academy gives attendees the chance to take a class at one of the only recreational cooking schools in operation at a North American hotel. Attendees of all skill levels will learn some new cooking techniques in the fully equipped professional kitchen. Sample menus include bacon-wrapped dates stuffed with blue cheese or Mediterranean hummus pizza.

Golfing the New Course

This isn’t just any golf course. A complete restoration of the 18-hole course brings it back to its original grandeur. Designed by Donald Ross in 1925, it is one of only nine Donald Ross–designed golf courses in the top 100 golf courses in the U.S. As part of its update, golfers can expect a greater number of bunkers, which will make the fairways more challenging with additional twists and turns. And if that sounds daunting, attendees can take a lesson at the hotel’s Jim McLean Golf School.

Relaxing at the Spa

The property’s 12,000-sf spa provides attendees an idyllic retreat. Small groups can even reserve the Zen Suite to participate in the wellness experience together. Think organic seaweed wraps and anti-aging facials or a trip to the Himalayan salt stone sauna.

Getting in a Workout

Part of the restoration include all-new equipment from Technogym in the 10,000-sf fitness center. But its schedule of more than 100 weekly exercise classes is what groups will want to check out. Attendees can participate in everything from aqua fitness to boot camps to yoga and spinning.

Taking a Tour

In May 2017, the hotel partnered with Dragonfly Expeditions to offer an Experiential Travel Program. Groups can venture off site with ease by using the local corporate tour operator. Tours of the Everglades, a Cuban heritage tour and architecture tours are just the beginning.
