Barcelo Maya Arena, the largest convention center and meetings inventory in Riviera Maya, will open this December alongside the new adults-only, all-inclusive Barcelo Maya Riviera.
The latest addition to the Barcelo Maya Grand Resort complex, the new resort joins Barcelo Maya Palace, Barcelo Maya Beach, Barcelo Maya Caribe, Barcelo Maya Colonial and Barcelo Maya Tropical.
The Arena convention center will be able to host up to 8,000 attendees, with more than 190,000 sq. ft. of customizable multi-purpose space for expos, conventions and events. For gala receptions, events planners have access to a 3,400-sq.-ft. terrace.
Barcelo Maya Riviera is home to 850 rooms, all of which are Junior Suites or Suites—and more than half of them with ocean views. With more than a hundred swim-up suites, the new property will also feature hot tubs in all guestroom balconies, minibars with free daily refills of snacks and drinks, and double or super king-sized beds. The resort’s specialty restaurants will offer a diverse array of cuisine, including Mexican (with a “Tacoyaki” bar), French fine dining, Italian, and Japanese (including 10 Teppanyaki tables and one Robatayaki table for fireside cooking), as well as a buffet restaurant with international cuisine available during breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are also five bars, including poolside and lobby bars.
Guests who stay at the Barcelo Maya Riviera have access to amenities at the other five resorts within Barcelo Maya Grand Resort: 22 restaurants, 10 pools, three theaters, three water parks, a bowling alley, as well as the new Ventura Fly & Ride Park.
