When Jeff Broudy, president of United Incentives, was seeking an exclusive experience for a group of dealer/distributors, he chose a river charter on the Danube on Avalon Waterway’s Panorama. The Panorama was the first ship of its kind, with two full decks of suites with windows that open from floor to ceiling, so the entire cabin is transformed into a balcony.

Chartering allowed Broudy to add many special touches, from flying the corporate flag to customizing the cocktail napkins and cabin keys. ”The vibe was like a family reunion on a private yacht,” he says.

His client has been taking its customers on incentive trips since the 1930s and winners have traveled extensively throughout North America, Europe and the Caribbean. But with ports in in Budapest, Vienna, Melk and Slovakia, he says, “This experience introduced them to a world they would have never seen on their own.”
