Across the country, hotels and meeting venues are offering hot deals for meeting planners to save on group rates and to receive added-value packages.
Innisbrook Golf Resort & Spa
Situated 45 minutes outside of Tampa, Fla, Innisbrook Golf Resort & Spa offers its “Legendary Meetings” experience. That includes a two-hour cocktail reception on the PGA Valspar Championship Copperhead Course; complimentary meeting room rental for up to 1,000 attendees; complimentary golf club rentals for all attendees; a free guest room for every 40 guest rooms booked; 15 percent commission to a third-party agency; and a $500 gift card to spend on relaxing spa treatments, an exclusive yoga session or cocktails and s’mores next a la fire pit.
The Henderson
The Henderson, located in nearby Destin, Fla., offers 18 percent off group experiences booked for 2018. Also, if meeting planners book the property’s best available group rate, they will receive a bonus package add-on such as a rooftop sunset spinning class for four, suite upgrade for four or after-dark spa treatment for four, to name a few.
The Wigwam
While some hotel companies are reducing commission rates for meeting planners, The Wigwam is doing the opposite with its “Make Your Meetings Matter” promotion. The Phoenix area property, with 85,000 sf of indoor and outdoor meeting space, will offer 12 percent commission for meetings planned on select “hot dates” as well as 10 percent commission on food and beverage for meetings and events held throughout 2018 for new bookings. Even more, for any meeting booked by April 30, the promotion also offers a pick of up to four bonuses, including one complimentary room per 35 room nights contracted, 20 percent attrition, 10 percent off A/V rental and 50 percent discount off of resort charge, to name a few.
Harley-Davidson Museum
Groups interested in visiting the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee have even more incentive to do so now with different promotions running through April 15. For groups of 2,000 to 3,999 attendees, each attendee will receive a $10 MOTOR gift certificate. For 4,000 to 6,499, the group will get complimentary HDM lighting packing and 10 centerpieces. Complimentary after-hours museum admission is available for groups of 6,500 to 9,999 attendees. And groups of more than 10,000 attendees will receive all three of the benefits mentioned.
