Belgium’s commercial trade hub of Bruges will welcome the new Radisson Blu Hotel, Bruges next month, creating an ideal place for groups to combine history and business.

The 109-room hotel will be available for smaller groups meeting in the properties six meeting rooms spread across two floors, including the spacious 12th floor space that will feature views of the medieval city in the backdrop. While meetings are top of mind at the property, its location in The Markt district, dating back to 1905, and its close proximity to Central Station of Bruges, a UNESCO heritage site, make it easy for groups to get out and explore this fairytale-like destination. Bruges’ Venice-like canals and historical landmarks such as the Grand Palace make quite interesting offsite experiences.

“Bruges is beautiful,” remarks Elie Younes, executive vice president and chief development officer for Radisson Hotel Group. “For the well-informed travelers who appreciate art, history, fine dining, culture and style, Bruges is a paradise, and often a secret.”

Radisson Hospitality AB, a part of Radisson Hotel Group, has shown a special interest in Belgium ever since moving its EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) headquarters to Brussels in 1989, and this latest Bruges property will become the 15th in the hotel group’s Belgian portfolio.

“Radisson Hotel Group is delighted to add another jewel of a destination to its portfolio of world-class destinations,” says Younes. “Radisson Blu, the largest upper upscale hotel brand of Europe, could not have picked a better destination to showcase itself than Bruges. We are proud, privileged and looking forward to opening our doors in August 2018.”
