When the 199-room Isla Bella Beach Resort makes its debut in Marathon, Fla., early next year, it will be the first new resort built in the Florida Keys since Hurricane Irma impacted the destination in 2017.
Located on 24 acres at the edge of the area’s iconic Seven Mile Bridge, the resort will provide a picturesque meeting site along almost 1 mile of private beach. It will also give groups an all-in-one feel with a full-service spa, four dining outlets, five swimming pools and 24,000 sf of meeting space. Everything from Italian at Il Postino—named after the area’s former circa-1906 post office—to burgers at The Burger Palace will appeal to varying palates. The multipurpose Manatee Bay Marketplace will serve as both a waterfront coffee shop as well as a curated shopping experience for attendees who may have forgotten their beachwear.
The property’s landscaping alone makes it standout, with a tropical garden of more than 1,000 palm trees greeting attendees upon arrival and weaving its way throughout the resort. The public spaces also bring the outside in by melding Atlantic Ocean views with natural wood and earth tones that give it the feel of a luxury beach house. Fire pits; beachside games such as bocce, croquet and oversized chess; complimentary bicycles; and hammocks also add to the relaxed vibe.
Even more, the property encourages groups to get out on the water, with team building activities ranging from a brainstorm session on the pier to sailing, fishing, snorkeling and diving available to attendees.
