A tropical ambiance heightened by cosmopolitan amenities, sophisticated resorts, world-class dining and some of the most sought-after experiences in the world. This and more is possible in Australia’s Tropical North Queensland.

Cairns offers meetings and incentives groups a brush with their wildest dreams. Groups can fly into Cairns Airport from any major Australian city and be immersed in the natural wonders of this area—the Great Barrier Reef to one of the oldest rainforests in the world—within minutes. More than 600 tours venture daily into dazzling reefs, rainforest and tropical islands. Cairns is also well versed in meetings and conventions, offering more than 7,000 hotel rooms in the city, a soon-to-be expanded convention center for 2,500 attendees, numerous cultural and unconventional venues that embody the distinct character of this area of the country, and an array of bespoke experiences.

Here are four more reasons to book your event in Cairns, Australia’s tropical oasis.

Riley by the Crystalbrook Collection

Built around a 10,700-sf lagoon-style swimming pool, the new Riley by the Crystalbrook Collection offers 311 rooms and suites, three restaurants, and a rooftop bar. The first of three new five-star resorts in Cairns, Riley also offers six event spaces, which can hold up to 440 attendees cocktail-style or 280 seated. Cairn’s highest rooftop bar and restaurant, Rocco, can also be found here and is available for buyout, offering 270-degree panoramic views of Cairns and the Coral Sea for up to 120 attendees cocktail-style.

Cairns Aquarium

More than 15,000 animals from 10 different ecosystems in Tropical North Queensland, including sharks and reef fish, snakes, lizards, baby crocodiles and frogs call Cairns Aquarium their home. The aquarium also features five themed venues for up to 300 attendees, each highlighting different habitats, animals and visual backdrops.

Sunlover Funlover

The Great Barrier Reef now has its first dedicated events venue for groups of up to 300 in Sunlover Funlover, an outer Great Barrier Reef pontoon. The customizable venue can be reached by a high-speed catamaran transfer just 90 minutes from Cairns. Sunlover Funlover is also the only pontoon with access to Arlington Reef, one of the largest reef systems in the UNESCO World Heritage Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.

Coming Soon

The Crystalbrook Collection will add two more hotels to its portfolio this year: The five-star Flynn, a 311-room hotel with three meeting spaces for up to 130 attendees, and the Bailey, another five-star hotel with 217 rooms and four meeting spaces for up to 150 attendees.
