Stargazing theme of corporate gatherings
Star Parties Held in LCRA Pedernales River Nature Park in conjunction with Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa.

Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa has a new group offering that is literally out-of-this-world, gatherings that are focused on the stars. Dubbed star parties, they are offered in partnership with the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) at McKinney Roughs Nature Park.

During the activity, groups join one of the nature park’s astronomers who guides attendees through the universe’s features and lights. Attendees can sip on beverages and enjoy late-night snacks prepared by the resort’s culinary team while they learn to identify prominent constellations, distant planets, gas cloud nebulae, and global clusters. The astronomer also recounts ancient stories about the stars and universe.

“Since we are located 20 miles outside of Austin tucked away from the city lights, the resort provides a great destination to truly take in Texas’ gorgeous night skies,” says Laura Ashley Hardaway, director of events at Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa. “During the star parties, groups are joined by a local astronomer to identify constellations and celestial objects all while enjoying delicious food and drinks provided by our culinary team.”

Hyatt Regency Lost Pines and the LCRA also offers a variety of activities showcasing the Texas outdoors with everything from guided nature walks and kayak excursions down the Colorado River, to ziplining and UTV tours that traverse more than 18 miles of nature trails.

Not only is there a diverse selection of distinctive activities for groups, the 491-room Hyatt Regency Lost Pines has more than 60,000 square feet of indoor and 240,000 square feet of outdoor event space, which can be customized to fit the needs and preferences of any meeting or event. The indoor space encompasses the 15,913-square-foot Lost Pines Ballroom and 7,616-square-foot Baron’s Ballroom, as well as several mid-sized meeting spaces and salons in the Leatherstocking Hall and Colonists Hall.

The resort’s outdoor venues include the Riverside Amphitheater, a natural lawn amphitheater overlooking the Colorado River and directly connected to the LBJ Pavilion, a covered patio reflecting a rustic Texas setting. Additional options include the Riversong Lawn, located off the resort’s back porch and reflects the look and feel of a classic and elegant Texas ranch reception; the Pecan Court and Pecan Terrace, located in the resort’s “Pecan Grove” surrounded by its namesake trees; Chief’s Pavilion, an open-air pavilion offering panoramic views of the resort grounds; as well as options at the on-site Wolfdancer Golf Club including the driving range and 12th hole.
