MPI has created a portal on its web site.

All of the major industry associations have numerous resources to keep you updated on the coronavirus situation as it affects your meetings. We’ve pulled them all together for you.

Here are several meeting industry sites where you can learn more about coronavirus:

Events Industry Council

EIC has posted an in-depth, hour long webinar held on Feb. 10 that’s free of charge. Take the short quiz afterwards earn one free CE credit.

ASAE

Association planners should check out the American Society of Association Executives’ webcast, recorded February 19 and available to non-members. It is led by Lori M. Anderson, president and CEO of the International Sign Association, and features a panel of association industry experts discussing the impact on their meetings.

PCMA

PCMA has created a resource page that includes regular news updates; a case study of how the recent Toy Fair, which took place February 22 to 25 at New York City’s Javits Center, carried on with its event; and a live map showing the spread of the virus. But most useful is the downloadable PDF of its 2018 “Guide to Crisis Communications for Business Events Strategists.”

SITE

SITE has created a “Flipboard” for planners to access articles and post their own, as well as share them on social media.

MPI

Meeting Professionals International has created a portal page here. It includes links to helpful articles from various sources, including recent surveys of its members and of the 25 largest independent meeting and incentive companies focused on the U.S. corporate market about how the situation is impacting their businesses.
