A new turnkey program streamlines the giveback experience for groups.
This year’s “Incentive Travel Industry Index” by SITE Index, IRF Outlook and FICP reported that 74 percent of planners intend to incorporate corporate social responsibility into their programs. A new partnership with AccorHotels and full-service CSR provider CSRConnections, aims to deliver. Dubbed “Leave Your Footprint,” the North American program includes activities and charity partners tailored to each planner’s budget, preferences, locale and preferred dates. The best part is that all of the details—logistics to on-site execution—are streamlined through AccorHotels.
“Giving back to the places where we work and play is a hallmark of our industry,” Chris Ruane, VP of meetings and events for AccorHotels, said in a recent release by the hotel company. “One of the challenges faced in planning such events is the lack of experience, expertise, logistical knowledge and time needed to create a meaningful experience. To overcome this obstacle, AccorHotels and CSRconnections have joined forces. Together we can leave a positive footprint in support of the communities we visit.”
In terms of the CSR team building experiences offered, they may include: packing backpacks with school supplies, developing hygiene kits for shelters, culling supplies via a scavenger hunt for a food bank or community kitchen, building wheelchairs, decorating “birthday buckets” at a children’s hospital or a design transformations at a local youth or crisis center.
