firesWildfires continue to burn in California, forcing residents to evacuate their homes and damaging restaurants and wineries, many that are popular for incentive groups.

The fires that began Sunday in the Napa-Sonoma wine country are about 45 miles north of San Francisco. There are multiple fire incidents in the east and west mountainous areas and along the valley floor north between St. Helena and Calistoga.

The Glass Fire is spreading across Napa County and at press time has consumed approximately 43,000 acres. Among the popular incentive properties that have been impacted include Castello di Amorosa, a 13th-century-style winery in Calistoga. Meadowood and Calistoga Ranch have also suffered much damage. Chateau Boswell Winery and the Black Rock Inn, a luxury hotel have also been destroyed.

The wildfires add to an already perilous situation in California as it deals with the global COVID-19 pandemic. There are rolling blackouts and extreme heat that must be contended with.
