Few places in the world capture the imagination of incentive qualifiers like Australia. A trip to Australia is transformational, connecting attendees to the wonder of nature—and to its warm and friendly people.

Several new bucket-list experiences and luxury properties in Sydney and The Whitsundays have only added to the appeal of an incentive trip to Australia.

Following an AUD 50 million renovation, the iconic Sheraton on the Park has been rebranded as five-star Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park. Its 558 guest rooms including 48 suites have been revamped, along with a new-look pillarless Grand Ballroom.

The new Quay, Peter Gilmore’s highly regarded restaurant, has been transformed so that its function spaces overlook Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Sydney Opera House, or both.

Sydney’s new Barangaroo precinct offers a range of restaurants and bars with views of Darling Harbour. Among them is 12-Micron, a restaurant, late-night dessert kitchen and bar with harbour views; Été, focused on contemporary French-Australian cuisine; and Barangaroo House, celebrity Chef Matt Moran’s much anticipated, three-level hospitality venture, including a smoke bar.

Entertainment options abound, whether that be a visit to the Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour, where groups can enjoy a performance of the classic “West Side Story” on a floating stage on Sydney Harbour, or to Vivid Sydney, where each May and June artists project multicolored light displays onto the city’s most iconic sights.

Transformational experiences include a trip to The Whitsundays region, home to some of Australia’s best-known destinations, including Heart Reef—a heart-shaped island best viewed from the air. Here, the renovated 277-room Daydream Island Resort will begin welcoming groups in May 2019 and the new InterContinental Hayman Island Resort, located right on the Great Barrier Reef, will open in July 2019. Groups can transfer by luxury boat, seaplane or helicopter from Hamilton Island Airport, arriving to refreshments, canapes and champagne.

Or winners can remain in Sydney and have the experience of a lifetime, climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge, where a team leader will guide them step by step to view one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
