For work and for pleasure, these newly launched virtual site inspections will help get you through the Spring.

Here are the latest virtual site inspections: Washington DC, Los Angeles and New York City.

Washington, DC

Destination DC is promoting #DCtogether to shine a light on DC’s hospitality and tourism community amidst the coronavirus pandemic. As part of this initiative, Destination DC has launched “Things To Do this Weekend in Washington, DC: Stay Home Edition,” including watching the cherry blossom and panda cams. Virtual travelers can also tour the city via 360-degree videos; get inspired to visit the city when travel opens up again by watching an array of movies and TV shows in which DC is featured; and feel the beat of the city in their soul via the DC music playlist.

This is a great time to curl up with a book, and Destination DC has created a list of 20+ Washington, DC-related “books to devour,” or maybe it’s a virtual tour of DC museums, including those 17 Smithsonian museums, that will inspire future bookings. Los Angeles

The Los Angeles Tourism sales team is bringing the magic of Los Angeles to meeting planners regardless of location, equipping them with the tools and information needed to produce one-of-a-kind experiences.  A newly launched resource page, discoverlosangeles.com/magichour/meetings, serves as a one-stop-shop for Virtual Site Inspections featuring more than 35 locations throughout Los Angeles including the Los Angeles Convention Center, hotels, museums and movie studios. A new downtown walking tour connects the Los Angeles Convention Center with frequently visited locations like the 7th and Fig, the Metro station and Pershing Square and is annotated by videos of Los Angeles Tourism team members who bring the locations to life.

Also recently revamped to to optimize search  is the Online Venue Finder. This tool features hundreds of Los Angeles venues searchable by size, capacity and/or location, and contains a mapping tool to plot the distance between points of interest and possible venue hosts.

New York City

Even during this time, planners can enjoy online experiences from a range of NYC’s key cultural venues. Virtual NYC, NYC & Company’s new initiative, offers the chance to explore NYC’s arts scene from anywhere, and to be inspired by the creativity and diversity on display—motivation for what to do outside the meeting room on your next occasion in the City. Categories of experiences include Museums & Galleries, Performing Arts, Broadway and Theater, and Attractions.
