The lives of exhibition managers just got a whole lot easier.

In late March, Freeman, a global company that specializes in brand experiences, launched Blueprint, a web-based floor plan management system that can greatly benefit planning, managing and selling trade show booth space. This is the first time Freeman is launching the platform in the U.S. after success with the 2009 launch of a similar ShowPlans platform in the European, Middle Eastern and Asian markets. The way Blueprint works is by creating and storing digital floor plans directly in the cloud, allowing meeting planners, sales teams and other event staff to access the most current mapping information at any given time from any given location.

The advanced Blueprint Pro option takes it a step further by allowing planners to embed the digital floor plans into their event websites. That way exhibitors and sponsors can see exactly what booth is available in real-time and even book their preferred spot directly through the website. Attendees can also access the digital map in an effort to plan out their schedules and visits on the trade show floor.

Better yet, meeting planners who rely on data will appreciate the digital process as it helps with data collection—ultimately identifying the most popular spaces and exhibitors on the trade show floor, according to Richard Maranville, chief digital officer at Freeman.
