The British Virgin Islands (BVI) has a few tricks up its sleeve for keeping groups engaged in between meetings.

Bitter End Yacht Club Retreat

This week, the Bitter End Yacht Club (from Jan. 31 to Feb. 5) is hosting a five-night retreat that encourages attendees to unplug and focus on two relaxing island workouts: stand-up paddle boarding and yoga. In between sessions, attendees can also relax in swinging hammocks, take a sailing excursion to The Baths or even explore hiking trails.

Sweethearts of the Caribbean Regatta

This month, the 39th Annual Sweethearts of the Caribbean & 35th Annual Classic Yacht Regatta returns to the BVI. Adults and junior sailers will meet Feb. 12 to 14 at West End Yacht Club to compete in the regatta, which even allows some 100-plus-year-old yachts to participate.

Rolex Swan Caribbean Cup

Back for a third consecutive year (March 1 to 5), the Rolex Swan Cup Caribbean will be held at the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda’s new clubhouse. The event takes place every other year and is open to all Nautor’s Swan luxury sailing yachts.

Dark & Stormy Regatta

Now in its 20th year, the three-day Dark and Stormy Regatta will take place in March, highlighting vessels of all shapes and sizes in a less-intense race from Trellis Bay to Anegada. Groups will want to be near the finish line at Tortola.

Spring Regatta & Sailing Festival

Participants looking to race, cruise or simply party will explore the beautiful islands during this weeklong BVI Spring Regatta & Sailing Festival (March 27 to April 2). The event starts at Nanny Cay with warm-up races making up the two-day sailing festival, followed by the BVI Spring Regatta that features three days of some of the Caribbean’s top racing.
