New York-headquartered Dream Hotel Group is venturing south, with plans to open three new hotels in Mexico and Central America: Unscripted Tulum, Unscripted Belize and Dream Belize.

With the exception of two Dream-branded properties in Thailand, the hotel company has yet to expand outside the U.S., so these new developments represent a major step in the company’s foray into international hospitality.

The first of the three to open will be Unscripted Belize (later this year) as part of the revitalization of Kanantik Belize community. Better for smaller, executive or incentive groups, the property features 24 beachfront cabanas fronting the Caribbean Sea. While an outdoor restaurant and bar and expansive pool area add to its highlights, what will really standout is its two private boats available for snorkeling and scuba diving.

Debuting a bit later in the same 5,800-acre resort community, Dream Belize will open in 2020 with 100 guest rooms and suites, 120 hotel condominiums and 40 branded residential home sites. Groups can look forward to its four dining and nightlife concepts, three pools, luxury spa and fitness center. The nearby Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, home to a jaguar preserve, will also beckon attendees for bird watching, among other nature-inspired activities.

Lastly, Unscripted Tulum will also open in 2020 as the hotel group’s first hotel in Mexico. The 97-room property will embrace the wellness aspect of the Tulum community in its onsite wellness center and three rooftop areas with a restaurant, bar and lounge that can be used for meditation and yoga. An open-air communal dining concept will also help bring locals and attendees together at the same table.

These three properties are just the beginning for Dream Hotel Group’s ambitious expansion plans to open more than 30 hotels and resorts across the globe over the next four years. That includes hotels in Doha, Qatar and Birmingham, England, to name a few.
