Plans have been unveiled for two new hotel towers at Nashville Music City Center that will add 721 hotel rooms directly across from the $625 million convention center.

The two hotels will be linked by a common podium that will include a four-story lobby, conference area and public restaurant/retail space, including outdoor street-level public dining and a rooftop bar. The dual-branded development was announced by Crescent Real Estate LLC (an affiliate of Starwood Capital Group) and High Street Real Estate Partners, with formal groundbreaking for the two new hotels expected during the second quarter of 2019.

“We are excited to enter one of the country’s hottest markets, Nashville, with two excellent hotel brands and a strong and experienced partner in Starwood Capital Group,” said Jason Anderson, Co-CEO of Crescent in a press statement. “Our team is thrilled to embark on this world-class project. The combination of 1 Hotel and Embassy Suites fits the Nashville hotel market perfectly and provides a compelling opportunity for our investors.”

Eco-conscious Design

The 30-story Embassy Suites by Hilton hotel tower will offer 506 rooms, as well as a rooftop swimming pool, bar and fitness center. While the adjoining 18-story 1 Hotel tower will offer 215 rooms with a holistic spa, rooftop bar and event deck area. The Embassy Suites will feature a main lobby entertainment bar offering live music and entertainment, a large block of rooms with double king beds and the Embassy Suites breakfast buffet. The 1 Hotel concept is Starwood’s award-winning eco-conscious and lifestyle brand, which combines the best of eco-conscious design and sustainable architecture.

The development will be located on a half-block at the north side of Demonbreun Street between 7th and 8th Avenues, an area known locally as SoBro, and will directly face the doors of the 2.1 million sf Music City Center, providing easy access for convention goers. The location is also only one block away from the Bridgestone Arena, home of the Nashville Predators, and host to numerous concerts and events.
