From innovative storytelling to networking events designed to engage and inspire attendees, Walt Disney World Resort has been a popular destination for meetings, conferences and events for years.

For groups, it’s the unexpected venues and unique event spaces available at Disney convention resorts and theme parks that set it apart from other destinations, offering the opportunity to truly ‘wow’ attendees.

Perhaps, no one knows this better than Kyla Heap, Marketing Analyst at FBMC Benefits Management, who planned and orchestrated FMBC’s annual client forum event at Walt Disney World Resort.

“You don’t typically think of Disney as a place where you would have a meeting or a convention, but Disney really provides the full package,” said Heap. “You can have fun and you can really get business done there,” she added.

According to Heap, the service the Disney creative resources team provides is a big reason her company continues to return, and finding new ways to ‘wow’ their attendees year after year is always top priority.

This year, the company hosted its gala dinner in a place attendees might not have ever expected: right on the stage floor of Festival of the Lion King, an elaborate live show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Park.

“The minute you walk in you are floored by the beautiful set ups that the team has put together,” said Heap. “There’s music playing which creates an amazing atmosphere, then you get to have a delicious dinner… followed by being a part of Festival of the Lion King,” she added. “You’re a VIP, and you really feel like a part of the show, and that’s incredible.”

According to Heap, 2016 marks the third year FMBC held its annual forum at Disney. “Every year we think that it won’t be topped… and every year Disney is able to top it,” said Heap. “They surprise us and always come up with an amazing event for us, and I can’t wait to see what we have for next year.”
