Years in the making since the Marriott-Starwood merger, Marriott has announced the name of its new loyalty brand.

The new loyalty program, Marriott Bonvoy, replaces Marriott Rewards, The Ritz-Carlton Rewards and Starwood Preferred Guest. Meeting planners and their attendees will be able to use it as soon as Feb. 13.

Designed to enrich travel for rewards members, Marriott Bonvoy offers Marriott Bonvoy Moments, which will offer 120,000 experiences in 1,000 destinations available for purchase or by redeeming points. That makes it easier for, say, groups meeting in Morocco to organize a desert trek on camelback or a cruise to a floating village in Vietnam. Or attendees can test their football skills in a master class from star football Hall of Famer Jerry Rice.

And for those who have previous Elite status, there are two new levels to check out. Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Elite will replace Platinum Premier Elite for members who surpass 75 nights, while Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Elite will replace Platinum Premier Elite with Ambassador, dedicated to members who surpass 100 nights and more than $20,000 in spend annually.

“Marriott Bonvoy marks an evolution in travel because it represents more than a loyalty program,” says Stephanie Linnartz, global chief commercial officer for Marriott International. “Marriott Bonvoy is a travel program designed to bring to life our extraordinary portfolio of global brands in 129 countries and territories, while also providing endless inspiration for members to keep traveling and pursuing their passions.”
