Dubai continues its rapid growth with major property openings this year—each of which offer meeting venues for planners to consider.

Just like every year in Dubai’s tourism and hospitality market, there’s almost too many properties opening to count, so here’s a mix of five hotels and resorts for groups to check out in this ever-changing city.

Gevora

Opened in February as the world’s tallest hotel, the 528-room Gevora stands at 1,197 feet, surpassing the nearby JW Marriott Marquis Dubai Hotel, which previously held the title. Planners can guess that the property will use its height to its advantage, offering rooftop views of the city’s skyline and beach as well as several meeting spaces with views from its location in the city’s Trade Center area.

Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Waterfront

Located in the new Business Bay District on the Dubai Water Canal, Radisson Blu Waterfront debuted in late March, featuring 432 rooms and suites as well as several dining and entertainment opportunities such as Gotha Club Dubai, which attracts major headliners and VIP opportunities. Planners can choose from its ballroom space and 11 flexible meeting rooms, equipped with high-tech audiovisual equipment, as well as a Fire Lake restaurant’s spacious terrace.

Stella Di Mare – Dubai

This five-star hotel is opening soon in Dubai Marina, touting 396 rooms spread across 31 floors. Its Art Deco design permeates the space, even in the multipurpose ballroom that can house up to 250 attendees, making it a popular choice for corporate and social events.

W Dubai – The Palm

Set to open on the Palm Jumeirah in June, the latest W hotel to enter the Dubai market will include a variety of 350 rooms and suites, touting the the Dubai skyline. In true W form, the property design is inspired by art, emphasizing music, fashion and design throughout the property’s six dining outlets, multipurpose meeting rooms and studios with natural daylight to elevate business events to the next level. Plus, it features a private beach and water sports for group activities in between meetings.

Mandarin Oriental – Dubai

Overlooking Jumeirah Beach, this urban resort caters to meetings, with 200 rooms and suites, multipurpose meeting rooms, a stunning 5,651-sf ballroom with glass walls and a terrace with a view, making it an ideal spot to host high-end meetings when it opens in late 2018. The Spa at Mandarin Oriental will also offer a retreat for attendees looking for the VIP treatment in addition to a dedicated Beach Club on Jumeirah Beach that will offer a variety of water sports activities.
