Atlantis plans to announce more renovations & property upgrades in the coming months

Paradise is Calling

Atlantis, Paradise Island is a lush, oceanside resort located on Paradise Island in The Bahamas. The resort features five distinct hotels: the iconic The Royal, the laid-back The Beach, the newly renovated The Coral, and the ultra-luxury The Cove and The Reef. Recently, Atlantis, Paradise Island embarked on a new chapter tied to a meaningful connection with the ocean, Bahamian culture and the spirit of the property’s +7,300 employees.

Bespoke Meetings & Events

With the largest conference center in the Caribbean, Atlantis boasts 200,000 square feet of indoor meeting space highlighted by the 50,000-square-feet Imperial Ballroom and 25,000-square-feet Grand Ballroom. With 60 meeting rooms, Atlantis can accommodate groups of 15 to 4,000. In addition, the more than 20 distinct outdoor venues totaling 300,000 square feet entertain parties of up to 5,000. The resort invites groups to bring their events to life with immersive, cultural experiences, such as Junkanoo, a 500-year-old Bahamian tradition that celebrates life with music, dancing and costumes, or authentic culinary and mixology classes.

An Ocean- and Conservation-Focused Resort

The ocean-themed resort is built around Aquaventure, an innovative 141-acre waterscape of thrilling slides and river rides, pools and white-sand beaches, and features the largest open-air marine habitat in the world, with over 50,000 marine animals from 250 species. Guests can visit Dolphin Cay, the resort’s marine mammal habitat and education center, whose first residents were rescue dolphins and sea lions from Hurricane Katrina.
A portion of the cost of each of the on-property marine interactions goes back to Atlantis Blue Project Foundation, the resort’s nonprofit, 501 (c)3 organization dedicated to saving sea species and their habitats throughout The Bahamas and surrounding Caribbean seas.

The Royal Reborn

Over the past two years, Atlantis has opened five new restaurants, successfully renovated The Coral and The Reef and has made significant enhancements to The Cove. Renovations to The Royal, the resort’s majestic icon, began in late August 2019. The East Tower is expected to be completed in 2020, and all rooms will have a bright and colorful new look, reminiscent of the vibrant destination.
