San Jose, Calif., is in the heart of Silicon Valley, where technology and innovation meet NorCal wine and farm-to-table fare.

For groups visiting the destination, there are several new post-meeting networking spots popping up across the city, giving San Francisco and Oakland a run for their money in terms of trendy off-sites. Here are just a few to get your attendees socializing:

Vintage Wine Bar

Situated in the city’s popular Santana Row shopping district, this wine bar takes you to Europe, where cafes line the centers of long avenues to take a break from the shopping. Vintage Wine Bar’s outdoor patio seating makes it extra-convenient for socializing, people-watching and, of course, wine tasting.

Vino Vino

With two locations in downtown Sunnyvale and San Jose’s San Pedro Square Market, Vino Vino is easily accessible for a post-meeting wind-down. It has 13 wines on tap (all at the same price) and pours more than 30 bottled wines—all of which are from local wineries.

Divine Winery Tasting Room

Yet another winery, Divine Winery Tasting Room offers a more intimate feel in downtown San Jose. Its wine collection ventures out to other Northern California wine regions, including the famed Anderson Valley or Lodi, while also offering a few international wines to ensure attendees get exactly what they want.

La Catalana Tapas

This traditional Spanish tapas restaurant takes attendees to the country’s Catalonia region. Authentic art and music provide a lively ambiance, while La Catalana’s delicious tapas menu entices attendees to stay (and keep ordering). Of course, Spanish wine prevails here.

Vbar at Hotel Valencia

This swanky bar at Hotel Valencia, situated along Santana Row, invites attendees inside with its dramatic metal-beaded curtains, matched by its backlit acrylic red bar. Flat-panel televisions and a high-end sound system make it ideal for events.

elevenFifty

This new social lounge is a great place to watch sports or other live events because of its several big-screen televisions. It serves up delicious Vietnamese fare alongside several beers on tap.
