To promote Marriott’s new Red Coat Direct meeting services app, the hotel brand is giving meeting planners who book a meeting with 75 cumulative rooms over select value dates an iPad Mini. The iPad Mini comes pre-loaded with the app so that meeting planners can use it during their meeting.
The Red Coat Direct app allows meeting organizers to adjust and edit their meeting requests and preferences without leaving the meeting room. For instance, meeting planners can control the room temperature, ask for coffee refills or request that lunch be served earlier than the planned time. Once a request is made, it is routed to the event manager so that the department can fulfill the request. It is personalized to each organizer’s specific meeting and is available for three days before the event and then throughout the meeting. The app launched in May 2013 at 350 properties in the U.S., but it will be available for the brand’s entire global portfolio of 500 hotels by the end of this year, and at that time, will be available in 20 languages.
The offer is available until Dec. 31 at select properties in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, Tennessee and Texas.
