At IMEX in Frankfurt last month, Rocco Forte Hotels emphasized the latest offerings for groups staying at one of the company’s landmark, luxury hotels.

Between renovations and hotel openings, here are five major developments that Rocco Forte Hotels has in store for meeting planners.

Assila Hotel

Earlier this year, Rocco Forte Hotels opened Assila Hotel in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia—the first non-European property for the hotel company. The 304-room hotel emphasizes the local culture by housing 2,000 pieces of artwork created by Saudi artists as well as 860 books that highlight the history of Saudi culture.

Rocco Forte Hotel in Shanghai

Making its way into the Asian market, Rocco Forte Hotels also has plans to open a property in Shanghai next year. It will be part of the Longhua International Aviation Service Centre, a new urban complex in Shanghai’s Xuhui Riverside area known as West Bund. The yet-to-be-named hotel will take up the top 15 floors of the tallest building in the complex and include about 280 rooms and suites.

Hotel De La Ville, a Rocco Forte Hotel

The brand recently announced a second hotel in Rome, Italy: Hotel De La Ville, a Rocco Forte Hotel. Situated at the top of the Spanish Steps, the property will be situated near the brand’s other existing Hotel de Russie property. Expected to re-open at the beginning of 2018, the 192-room hotel is currently closed for renovations that will reduce its number of guest rooms to 105 after a full restructuring and refurbishment.

Hotel Savoy, a Rocco Forte Hotel

This hotel in Florence, Italy recently completed a full redesign of its meeting spaces. The new Salotto lounge area—decorated with comfortable armchairs, sofas, tables and vibrant art works—brings attendees an alternative space for more relaxed and informal meetings.

The Balmoral, a Rocco Forte Hotel

Located in Edinburgh, Scotland, this hotel is undergoing a multimillion-dollar refurbishment that will be completed later this summer. This includes the 37 castle-facing rooms, deluxe suites, the popular JK Rowling Suite and three main function suites in the hotel’s west wing as well as a redesign of the hotel’s meeting spaces.
