pandemicGiven the impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the events industry, Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and the Event Leadership Institute (ELI) have joined together to offer MPI’s Pandemic Meeting & Event Certificate.

This new designation will assess the current environment and map new ways to prepare event strategy, design, execution, and evaluation. From risk management to venue protocols; contract clauses to user experience; food and beverage to marketing, areas most impacted by the pandemic will be covered to help develop and design well-informed, future-forward events.

It is said that at the conclusion of the six-week program, meeting professionals will be able to rethink event strategy for maximum adaptability in an increasingly disrupted global environment, develop checklists for safer event design, and establish and deploy event tactics to reduce COVID-based risks based on current circumstance primarily in North America.

Participants in the course will receive live Q&A class meetings, access to one year of course updates and a community forum to support each other during this difficult time. In addition, there will be on-demand learnings, readings and courses, live calls and 20 CMP clock hours. At the conclusion, those who complete the course will receive an Event Leadership Institute digital credential.

Instructor Kevin White will be on hand to discuss real-time updates, ask pressing questions, and offer insights from industry experts. In addition to the course, a peer-based community forum will be the place for the exchange of ideas, networking, and communicating with other learners to support each other during this challenging time.

In addition, there will be access to continual course updates for one year.
