We asked the people who attended Prevue’s Meet Well Summit—held January 3-4 in Marco Island—for some of their biggest wellness takeaways from the conference.

The fourth annual Meet Well Summit, presented by Prevue and the Incentive Research Foundation, took place in early January at the JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort. A talented roster of speakers included the IRF’s new President Stephanie Harris, who shared a preview of yet-to-be-released research on integrating wellness into events; Lululemon’s Deb Gee, who inspired the group to take care of themselves and shared creative wellness inclusions she uses with her groups; Tracy Stuckrath, who is known for her work educating meeting planners on food allergens; and Martin Lowery of Opus Vertex Intl, who led a guided meditation to close the day.

Here’s what attendees said when asked to share the best advice they got from the Summit:

“Take time for you. I think as meeting planners, we get caught up with servicing everyone else…we forget about ourselves.”

“Offer creative wellness options for our groups that can both educate them and allow them time to decompress.”

“You need to know all of the ingredients used to prepare food and ensure transparency to avoid any potential dangers.”

“I learned that our sleep cycles are 90-minute intervals of deep sleep, which will help me to align my sleep schedule to allow for optimal rest. I also enjoyed learning about the sub-conscious mind and how it plays into our thoughts and dreams.”

“Sleeping is just as important as healthy eating and being active.”

“The best was the ‘nappucino.’ A 20-minute power nap and a cappucino will get you right back on your feet!”
