Marina del Rey, meetings
A harbor cruise is a popular way to soak up the sights.

With its prime location on the the L.A. coastline, yet the feeling of an exclusive  getaway, Marina del Rey has it all. Its location in the heart of Silicon Beach is appealing to the tech start-up sphere and its close proximity to LAX (4 miles) and world-famous attractions like Venice Beach and Santa Monica, make it highly accessible. At the heart of it all is the world’s largest man-made small craft harbor, with 19 marinas. For groups, the best way to soak in the scenery and unwind after a day of meetings is a sunset harbor cruise on a private chartered yacht.

For meetings, there’s the newly renovated Marina del Rey Marriott, which has just undergone extensive renovations of its ballrooms—the California Ballroom (6,072 sf) and the Bayview Ballroom (4,264 sf)—including new flooring, wall coverings, lighting and airwalls. The hotel also renovated its prefunction spaces just outside the ballrooms. The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey, is undergoing renovations to its guest rooms & Club Lounge, expected to be complete this spring.

After a year and a half, The Marina del Rey Hotel reopened in January 2015 after a $25 million renovation. The iconic waterfront property features 164 updated rooms and suites, a full-service restaurant, SALT, an outdoor marina-facing pool and sundeck and multiple meeting spaces.
