CSR on the Go: How to Give Back When You Don’t Have Much Time

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

CSR-give-backsCommunity services activities at meetings are more popular now than ever. But not every meeting can accommodate a full-blown community service activity—there may just not be enough time in the program or the logistics may seem too daunting.

The good news is that you don’t need an hours-long community service activity to make a lasting impact on your attendees and the local community at the destination of your meeting or incentive program. With as little as 30 minutes, you can create meaningful opportunities for your attendees that teach how to give back when you don’t have much time. The recipe for success is making sure you’re connecting your company with the local community and creating both awareness and some emotion. The goal is to feel a connection, and knowing you provided a meaningful service to those that will best benefit from this awesome donation.

For example, you can integrate these types of activities into a cocktail party, welcome reception or awards night: and we can create a memorable experience for your group. Imagine the impact of:

  • Building bookcases so that children can benefit from the joy of reading
  • Preparing meals so that local homeless population can go to bed without hunger
  • Building bikes so that children can have the joy of riding/owning their first bicycle
  • Assembling piñatas filled with toys and games for children enduring extended hospital stays or treatment

The programs are short, but they are still meaningful and impactful for the local attendees. Where there is a will, there is a way!
