Meeting and incentive travelers staying at Sheraton properties around the globe can now take advantage of Sheraton Free Weekends. The new promotion allows members of the Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) loyalty program to earn one free weekend night at any Sheraton hotel or resort for every five nights booked with the brand. There are no restrictions on hotel category, so members can redeem their free weekend night at any of the 435+ Sheraton properties worldwide.
“With this rich SPG promotion, our meetings and incentive guests have access to the best of both worlds at Sheraton. Those who choose Sheraton for business-related needs, like conferences, will be rewarded with the chance to earn free weekend nights to use for a leisurely getaway at any Sheraton of their choice,” said Dave Marr, Global Brand Leader, Sheraton Hotels & Resorts. “From meeting facilities to luxurious spas and delicious cuisine, we have everything a guest could need, whether visiting for business or pleasure.”
The offer begins on July 9 and is available through September 30, 2015. Guests can choose to stay at properties in locations such as New York, London, Milan, Los Cabos, Bali, Maui and many more. There are no date restrictions, subject to availability, and the nights used to earn rewards do not need to be consecutive. Guests can earn a maximum of three free weekend nights, and earned nights can be combined. A weekend night is defined as Friday, Saturday or Sunday – with the exception of Sheraton hotels in the Middle East, Algeria, Israel and Langkawi, Malaysia, where it is defined as a Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Earned awards must be redeemed before December 13, 2015.
The offer is part of Sheraton 2020, the hotel group’s comprehensive five-year plan that was revealed in June 2015 and includes a $100 million marketing campaign, the launch of a new premier tier, and a goal of opening more than 150 new Sheraton hotels worldwide by 2020.
“One of the key missions with our new Sheraton 2020 plan is to turn heads and captivate guests. This is the first of many new initiatives and programs for Sheraton that will signal a new momentum within this storied brand,” said Adam Aron, Starwood CEO on an interim basis.
