EventWell

Starting at midnight GMT on Wednesday March 3, Event Relief 2021
is a 24-hour global live-streamed video podcast to build awareness of mental health challenges faced by event professionals and to raise funds for EventWell.

March 3 is International Event Well-Being Day, an appropriate occasion to grow awareness of event planner mental health and support the events industry. That’s why Dan Assor  came up with the idea of a 24-hour vodcast to benefit EventWell, a U.K. charity that recently launched a North American chapter led by Maritz Global Events’ Rachael Riggs.

Assor is a trade show, and exhibition professional who has recently launched video media platforms for the events & exhibitions community. His crowdfunding event has drawn the attention of major industry players including IMEX Group, the Society of Independent Show Organizers and UFI.

The event, he says, will be “a quirky collection of hour-long specials, from companies & organizations around the world, raising awareness and donations through creative, fun and imaginative approaches.” It will be streamed live across LinkedIn Facebook & YouTube, and across multiple time zones.

More on EventWell

EventWell bills itself as “The Mental Health and Wellbeing Voice of the Events Industry.” Donations raised from Event Relief 2021 will go to EventWell’s programs to support and serve event professionals and business members in the event industry community, thousands of whom have either been made redundant or have had their businesses destroyed by the global pandemic. Every donation from Event Relief 2021 will help individuals who need and/or experiencing professional, personal and financial hardship.
