After creating events for over 24 years for guests (ranging from 50 to 200,000 attendees), Heather Pilcher—CEO and Executive Producer of Blue Spark Event Design—has developed a business model that takes customer service one step further.  

From promotional events to brand activations, corporate conferences to incentive celebrations, she has traveled the globe building experiences for the masses.  With her team and the help of thousands of licensed partners internationally, she has enabled Blue Spark Event Design to collaborate consistently with her clients, whether they meet in a virtual, hybrid, or live event environment.  Heather travels with clients, as if she were a part of their brand, and strategically provides solutions for their needs.  Through thoughtful planning, sought-after awards and a lot of spunk, Heather has established her role as one of the industry’s top event professionals.      

 

Joe Fijol
DMCP, Principal,
and Founder of ETHOS Event Collective

Joe Fijol has been in meetings and events for 30 years. He donates his time speaking to Hospitality Schools throughout the US to grow future meeting professionals and sits on the Incentive Research Foundation Advisory Committee. An industry thought leader, Joe has worked across all facets of the hospitality industry including luxury resort, incentive travel, destination management, and cruise lines. Joe has been living and serving clients in Florida for over 20 years and knows the Sunshine State like no other. 

 

Katie Risher
CMP

Katie is the current Assistant Director of the University of Florida Conference Department and earned her Bachelor of Science degree and Master’s Degree from the University of Florida in 2015 and 2016.

Since 2015, Katie has been an active member of MPI where she currently serves as Immediate Past President of the North Florida Chapter and has served on the Board of Directors in various roles since 2018. Katie obtained her CMP from EIC in January 2018 and a DES from PCMA in June 2020. Katie was also awarded a Division Three Superior Accomplishment Award from UF in March 2023.
