Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association (CHTA) is dedicating an area of its website to “Caribbean Travel Advisories,” where you can check for the status of airports and travel requirements to destinations throughout the Caribbean region.
Country by country in the Caribbean —Anguilla to United States Virgin Islands — the document offers the status on ports/borders and provides copious up-to-the-minute notes as well as infographics that help you keep your clients informed.
The region is slowly reopening, and in some cases islands that were open have backtracked, so keeping up to date on what your clients can expect is proving more difficult than not.
Some of the information detailed includes the 4-1-1 on airport status; entry requirements; what to expect on arrival and during stay; and intel on CHTA member hotels.
Frank Comito, CEO and director general of the CHTA, said in a press release statement that there is no better place in the world for the traveler to escape, refresh and recover from the challenges the pandemic has wrought: “The Caribbean’s unmatched natural beauty, our varied and rich experiences, the incredible hospitality of our people—these are our gifts to the world as it seeks to heal.”
Although the document is updated regularly, CHTA does ask that everyone check with individual destinations on their policies.
