Downtown Austin has received a significant enhancement with the completion of PNC Hall, a large event space located in Block 21 within Austin’s 2nd Street District.
Designed with meetings and events planners in mind, this 2,000-sq.-ft. venue offers downtown views through large operable windows, along with a modern industrial aesthetic, wood flooring, customizable temperature controls and state-of-the-art audio and visual technology.
Block 21 serves as the shopping and cultural hub of Downtown Austin, featuring a 37-story, mixed-use development that includes the W Austin Hotel & Residences offering 159 condos and 251 guestrooms. It is also home to Austin City Limits Live (ACL Live) at the Moody Theater, a renowned venue with a seating capacity of 2,700 people.
PNC Hall is a flexible, covered event space that can be booked through ACL Live or the
W Austin. Upon booking, event planners have access to W Austin’s extensive and customizable catering menus crafted by the hotel’s executive chef, Manuel Rodriguez. This new venue is ideal for hosting large gatherings, combining seamlessly with Block 21’s existing private event offerings to accommodate up to 2,000 guests.
Patrick Moore, CEO of Opry Entertainment Group, highlighting the potential of PNC Hall, said in a press statement, “When we acquired this property, we recognized an incredible opportunity to transform this previously underutilized area into a flexible event space that guests of both ACL Live and W Austin can enjoy. This addition provides a much-needed, high-quality event destination in downtown Austin.”
Beginning Aug. 31, ACL Live attendees can elevate their concert experience with a PNC Hall: Premium Pass granting them access to the new space for select shows. This all-inclusive ticket includes complimentary drinks from a private bar, appetizers from the W Austin catering team, early access to PNC Hall 30 minutes before doors open and for two hours during the show. The Premium Pass is available for $105 per person.
“Live music is a unifying force and a key element of Austin’s unique character,” said Steven González, PNC regional president for Austin, in a press statement. “PNC is excited to partner with this iconic venue to launch PNC Hall, and we look forward to the positive impact this space will have on the local arts and culture community, as well as its contribution to driving economic growth.”
