The USVI is offering an incentive program for meeting and incentive planners. The incentive program is called “Procrastination Pays Off” and it offers rewards to guests who plan events at choice USVI resorts during 2015. The program showcases a heightened effort from the Department of Tourism to entice meeting and incentive travelers to book in the territory. It includes rewards that offer planners a more comprehensive experience of the island and its culture. Rewards range from a cooking class and lunch with a USVI culinary ambassador to a dinner reception at a USVI historical building with authentic island entertainment. The rewards come in three separate packages – Bronze, Silver and Gold – and are available based on the amount of guests booked by a planner.
Still, the rewards are just the icing on an already delicious cake. The U.S. Virgin Islands is home to some of the world’s most beautiful beaches and serene natural environments. Each island offers its own specific lures, but all share a laid back charm that serves as an ideal location for destination meetings. Venues such as St. George Village Botanical Gardens in St. Croix and Villa Botanica at Plantation Crown in St. Thomas provide stunning natural backdrops and vistas. St. Thomas’ renowned Mahogany Run Golf Course provides a venue with top notch service and activities along with beautiful and challenging golfing landscape. There is also St. John’s Caneel Bay, a hotel with amazing pristine surroundings that can rival any island in the world, and Coral World Ocean Park, which offers a variety of aquatic-based scenes and wildlife for meetings. Planners will find plenty of unique choices that showcase the islands’ unique beauty and charm.
In addition to the great venues and Caribbean beauty, the U.S. Virgin Islands offers the convenience of not requiring U.S. passports for entry, and there are daily nonstop flights from many major U.S. cities, such as Boston, Miami and New York.
