L’Auberge de Sedona in the stunning Red Rocks is ready to welcome groups after a $30 million makeover and expansion.

Mention “Sedona” and visions of towering red rock formations, mystical energy vortices and breathtaking sunsets come to mind. But few realize that Sedona also shines as a meetings and incentives destination. Just 1.5 hours from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, this small city in the stunning Red Rocks is ready to welcome groups—with L’Auberge de Sedona standing out after a $30 million makeover and expansion.

Day 1: Exploration

My stay began in a Junior Suite Fireplace at The Cliffs, a new addition featuring 70 Red Rock-view accommodations and the 3-story Duck Pond pool deck. Accessible by golf cart or winding stairs that go up the hill, The Cliffs also has its own lobby. My suite offered cozy seating, an electric kiva-inspired fireplace and a spacious balcony with jaw-dropping views. Luxurious amenities included a plush robe and slippers, natural bath products and a different turndown gift each night: handmade chocolates, a dream journal, aromatherapy spray, moonstones or a silk sleep mask—all customizable for group stays.

Beyond The Cliffs, L’Auberge features 62 luxury cottages, 21 lodge rooms and the 5-bedroom Creekhouse, perfect for VIP retreats or private dinners. During a property tour with Regional Sales Director Claire Wade and Regional GM Colm O’Brien, we explored the refreshed suites and the new Vista Overlook terrace—a secluded spot ideal for sunset cocktails. The evening ended with an informal buffet at the Creekhouse, which highlighted the chef’s elevated farm-to-table menu and creative cocktails.

Day 2: Sedona Outdoors & Spa Wellness

A sumptuous breakfast at the refreshed Cress on Oak Creek was a great start to the day, with its creek views and seating options both indoors and on the terrace. Later, O’Brien led us on a 1.5‑mile hike up Cathedral Rock, a moderate yet rewarding climb offering stunning views that works well for active teambuilding programs. For groups preferring a gentler pace, Sedona has countless scenic trails.

That afternoon, I indulged in a L’Aromatherapy 75‑Minute Massage at L’Apothecary Spa—beginning at the Blending Bar, where attendees can create a custom oil for their massage (what’s left goes home with them). The spa’s tranquil outdoor lounges, with fire pits, tea and infused water, invite lingering. L’Auberge’s wellness offerings extend beyond the physical to Sedona’s spiritual energy, with sessions like Sound Healing, Crystal Meditation, Energy Attunement and more. Dinner was a brief walk away at Broome & Orchard, a local favorite perfect for dine-around programs.

Day 3: Poolside Relaxation & Starry Skies

While L’Auberge has partnered with 89Agave Cantina for additional in-room dining options, I preferred breakfast outdoors again at Cress. Later that day at the new Duck Pond Pool and private cabanas we enjoyed lunch in small-bite perfection from Cress’s expanded culinary program. To help digest, we explored the nearby Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village, a fun option for groups that combines art, culture and local flavor.

Dinner brought us back to Cress, this time for a private chef’s table experience showcasing Sedona-inspired fine dining—ideal for intimate or VIP gatherings. We ended the night with a guided stargazing session led by a local astronomer, customizable for groups with s’mores and bevvies of choice.

L’Auberge de Sedona blends natural beauty, exceptional service, unique programming and intimate venues, making it an ideal choice for a boutique buyout or a VIP retreat.
