The hotel features 801 guest rooms, including 82 suites and more than 120,000 sf of flexible meeting and event space, spread across three dedicated levels. The hotel’s signature venue is the 30,000-sf Waterway Ballroom, now the largest ballroom in Greater Fort Lauderdale. The space includes an expansive outdoor terrace overlooking the Intracoastal. Additional meeting highlights include:

  • 15,000-sf Port Everglades Ballroom

  • 47 total meeting and event spaces

  • 27 breakout rooms

  • Multiple outdoor terraces designed for waterfront events

A Strategic Win for the Destination

The opening represents a major milestone for Broward County’s tourism and meetings strategy. Developed through a public-private partnership, the convention center expansion and Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel are expected to generate more than $450 million in economic impact and create over 3,000 full- and part-time jobs, according to project partners.

Six dining venues are currently open, providing planners with built-in options for group buyouts, receptions and off-agenda networking. Culinary programming is led by Executive Chef Cristian Mosquera, whose menus emphasize regional ingredients and global influences. A signature Italian chophouse is slated to open in 2026, further expanding group dining options.

For wellness-focused programs, the 8,500-sf Mokara Spa, fitness center and expansive pool deck—with private cabanas and an event lawn overlooking the water—offer planners additional venues for relaxation, wellness activations and outdoor events.
