Groups also benefit from a full suite of event services, including expert on-site planners, audiovisual support and curated catering by James Beard-nominated Chef John Tesar, who helms the hotel’s acclaimed Knife Restaurant.

A New Look & Feel

The Highland Dallas has reemerged with a dramatic renovation led by acclaimed and award-winning interior design firm BAMO, Inc. The hotel’s guestrooms, lobby and public spaces have been renewed with creative energy and artistic depth.

“We wanted this renovation to reflect not just where Dallas is going, but what made The Highland so iconic to begin with,” said Dina VanderVeen (Marinelli), LEED AP, Project Designer at BAMO, in a press statement. “The result is a property that feels stylish but soulful, contemporary but rooted—a true reflection of the city’s creative pulse.”

As part of its sweeping renovation, The Highland Dallas has unveiled a series of striking new design features, from refreshed interiors that showcase clean lines to organic textures and sculptural details throughout the property.

In the transformed lobby, guests are welcomed by a handcrafted terracotta mural inspired by the Texas hillside and blooming bluebonnets, while a newly added grab-and-go marketplace and coffee bar infuse the space with energy and community. Overhead, custom chandeliers made of hand-blown seeded glass create a nod to native Texas dandelions.

Guestrooms have also been reimagined with neutral palettes, natural materials and custom artwork. A standout element of the renovation is the hotel’s museum-worthy art program, curated by Sweeney Art Advisory. The collection features bold, contemporary works by artists including Jim Zhou, Alicia LaChance and Kimberly George—each piece contributing to a cohesive narrative that reflects Dallas’ creative identity.

With its fresh design, renewed sense of place and commitment to both style and substance, The Highland Dallas once again asserts itself as a cultural and architectural touchstone and a distinctive setting for meetings, events and elevated group experiences.
