Prevue’s Visionary Summit brought 30 senior planners to the Four Seasons Orlando Resort at Walt Disney World on July 26, including Florida Blue’s Kathleen Zwart and Raytheon’s John Touchette, shown here.

With topics that ranged from designing meetings for multiple generations to turning the corporate decision-making pyramid on its head, Prevue’s Visionary Summit, held in Orlando on July 26, hit all the educational hot buttons for attendees. In fact, like other Prevue events, the content was developed by consulting with a focus group of readers about the most pressing topics they would want to include in a day-long event.

Speakers included Joost DeMeyer, president and CEO of First Incentive Travel and Rodney Guttierrez, director of sales from the Orange County Convention Center, who focused on programming for Millennials; an insightful (and hilarious) Dan Berger, president of Social Tables, who presented a macro view of meeting tech; Quickmobile meeting evangelist Tahira Endean; and Cvent’s Brian Ludwig, who shared his insights about the next steps for strategic meetings management programs.

The 30 attendees represented many industries—from financial to pharma to tech. This was no ordinary gathering: With an average of over 18 years of experience, the planners in attendance were highly seasoned and conversations overflowed with shared experiences and advice.

An opening reception at Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando featured a farm-to-fork menu, and guests enjoyed staying in newly renovated digs at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. The Four Seasons Resort at Walt Disney World did a spectacular job of hosting the group, with many “oohs” and “aahs” during a site inspection of the property, which is just about to celebrate its first birthday.

Many thanks to the event sponsors, Westin Grand Cayman Resort, Caesars, CWT Meetings & Events and Visit Orlando‚ for a truly memorable event.
