The American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) annual Meetings and Events Forecast has projected Las Vegas as the top North American business travel destination of 2026, gaining the lead from New York in 2025. The study surveyed 83 meeting professionals and analyzed client meetings data based on ease of travel, cost-effectiveness, safety and security, facilities and local attractions, distinctive amenities and commitment to environmental, social and governance principles. The report predicts the 5 top 2026 destinations in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific. As follows:
North America: 1) Las Vegas, 2) Chicago, 3) New York, 4) Orlando, 5) Dallas.
Latin America: 1) Mexico City, 2) Bogota, 3) Buenos Aires, 4) Sao Paula, 5) Cancun.
Europe: 1) London, 2) Madrid, 3) Barcelona, 4) Amsterdam, 5) Paris.
Asia Pacific: 1) Singapore, 2) Bangkok, 3) Sydney, 4) Tokyo, 5) Bali.
Also included in the 2026 report are other key trends shaping the MICE industry. Overall, the study predicts a positive industry outlook with increased budgets.
