Globally acclaimed lawyer and human rights advocate Amal Clooney will speak at Convening Leaders 2025, Sherrif Karamat, CAE, PCMA and CEMA President & CEO announced today.
Amal Clooney will join the speaker line up at Convening Leaders 2025 (CL25), focusing on how individuals, organizations, and businesses can leverage a platform to influence positive change.
Clooney will share the personal and professional path that led her to pursue a career focused on human rights advocacy and the pursuit of social justice. She will offer insights on how those in the industry can transform their platforms to drive positive change and support the fight against injustice.

Clooney has spent her career defending the defenseless, from minorities to victims of mass atrocities, using her platform to shine a light on human rights abuses around the globe. Her relentless pursuit of justice has made her a role model for leaders and advocates worldwide.
Taking the mainstage for the keynote session will be former U.S. Representative Liz Cheney, who will tell the story of how she arrived at her personal convictions and the role principled leadership—and business events—can play in combatting divisiveness and fostering the exchange of ideas in a democratic society.
Other CL25 speakers include world-renowned researcher and best-selling author Brené Brown, offering actionable insights on how people can address the fears and scarcity mindsets hindering their professional progress.
In addition, professor, author and entrepreneur Scott Galloway will share his predictions for the forces and trends shaping the 2025 business landscape.
Convening Leaders 2025 takes place Jan. 12-15 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston.
