A property-wide transformation of Hyatt’s popular MICE hotel includes abundant meeting space.

The 448-room Hyatt Regency Austin, with more than 45,000 sf of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting space, has a cohesive, design-forward new look throughout all interior spaces. Located on the shores of Lady Bird Lake and with spectacular views of the downtown Austin skyline, the hotel offers easy access to city highlights ranging from it’s world-famous music scene to eclectic shops and boutiques. The property-wide renovation, which began in April 2025, includes reimagined meeting and event venues, refreshed guest rooms and suites and brand-new dining concepts.

Meeting space at Hyatt Regency Austin includes 33,000-sf of flexible indoor meeting space and 7,000-sf of indoor/outdoor function space. Among the five re-imagined ballrooms is the Zilker, with more than 14,000-sf of event space, 22-ft high ceilings and a covered outdoor skywalk terrace for receptions. The Texas Ballroom, with 10,290-sf of space, features 16-ft high ceilings, crystal chandeliers and pre-function space overlooking the atrium lobby. For smaller groups, the 1,240-sf Foothills Ballroom on the hotel’s 17th floor offers panoramic downtown and lake views. Additional meeting rooms and a fully equipped boardroom have also been renovated, matching the fresh contemporary style found throughout the hotel. Onsite support services include diverse F&B experiences from the culinary team, cutting-edge A/V, energy-efficient LED lighting, and customizable projection and sound systems including a new LED screen wall for personalized greetings and hotel activations.

Set against a visual display that blends Austin’s natural setting with the vibrant cityscape, the refreshed lobby is anchored by a distinctive glass encased layered metal mesh cactus sculpture with features from the iconic opuntia and barrel cacti that dot the Central Texas landscape. New reception pods and lounge seating accommodate all manner of travelers and small group meetups. Among the features of redesigned guestroom and suites are art and craft references to Austin’s natural and creative spirit, new desk and lounge areas, and bathrooms with sleek new fixtures and warm wood accents. Two new guest rooms include the Lake View Residence suite with two private balconies. Among the dining concepts is the new, chef-driven Ripple & Roots, serving reimagined Tex-Mex cuisine showcasing locally sourced, sustainable ingredients from community purveyors. The 146-seat restaurant also has 32 stools at an indoor-outdoor bar.
