Redesigned event spaces on Loews Philadelphia’s iconic 33rd floor are inspired by its storied history.

One of the city’s most popular top-tier meetings hotels, the Loews Philadelphia, has renovated all meeting space on its historic 33rd floor. Spaces that originally hosted the highest echelons of business in the Philadelphia Savings Fund Society skyscraper built in 1932—reborn as the Loews in 2000—now accommodate groups in spaces with sweeping city views, upgraded design and enhanced lighting and technology.

The 33rd floor event space includes the Roberts boardroom with spectacular city views that seats 30 attendees, and two function spaces that directly connect to the beautiful outdoor Terrace (also with breathtaking views): the 2,000-sq ft Howe meeting room and the 1,414 sq ft Lescaze room.

Throughout the 33rd floor, design is inspired by the beauty, forms and colors of the area by using details found in local forests, lakes, rivers and mountains and pairing them with neutral backgrounds for a contemporary feel. Carpet design, for example, features a soft earthy color palette and organic shapes inspired by natural elements in the local landscape such as tree branches, rippled water, river rocks and delicate flower petals.

All told, the 581-room hotel has 47,000 square feet of flexible event space, including three large ballrooms with extensive pre-function space. Planners who book a meeting of $150,000 or more for a program that meets in 2028 through 2032 qualify for a Loews special group offer to receive five percent of their net guest room revenue credited to the master account. Additionally, groups that book event technology services with Encore valued at $50,000 or more will receive a 25 percent equipment discount with complimentary basic meeting space Wi-Fi. There are also special group offers for repeat bookings: five percent off the master bill for two or more contracts before December 31, 2026, to be fulfilled by December 31, 2029; and three percent of current group net guest room revenue as a credit to the next group booking when rebooking at any Loews Hotel & Co property within 90 days of current group check-out. The latter offer is valid through December 31, 2026, to be fulfilled by December 31, 2028.
